In Guild Wars lore, the Mists is the realm between worlds — where souls, dreams and history intermingle. Afterlife leans into that directly: its new region Xotecha sits deep in the Mists, and its dungeon, the Unformed, is a jungle of shared dreams and memories (Xotecha Lore). Of all the places the DLC could have chosen, it chose the one built for exactly this story.
